John is a proud alumnus of Holy Cross High School where he was named to their Hall of Fame for his basketball skills.  He went on to graduate from Stony Brook University with a BA in Sociology and began teaching Practical Law and Criminal Justice at Smithtown High School East upon graduation.  While teaching, John attended St. John’s Law School graduating with his J.D. in 1986.  He was admitted to the New York State Bar as an attorney in 1987 and immediately began a private law practice.  From 1987 through the present, John has maintained a private law practice focused on personal injury cases and has successfully resolved countless cases for his clients through settlements and trial verdicts.  John was named as a top-rated personal injury “Super Lawyer” in 2019 and continues to hold that title.  John prides himself on providing zealous representation to all his clients and has built his practice predominantly on the word-of-mouth referrals of past and present clients, colleagues and former students.  He lectures at law schools on the complicated art of jury selection and is an active member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association.
